Capital University Blackmore Library Renovation
Quandel provided General Contracting services for the Blackmore Library Renovation project. The project consisted of the addition of a second entrance facing Main Street in Bexley (the Columbus suburb where the University is located) to accommodate the library’s 24-hour access. This renovation opened the library’s doors to the campus community and also invites the Bexley community through this entrance. In addition, the library’s first two floors were renovated to add more study space and make way for how students use technology.
The renovation transitions Capital’s traditional library into a social learning space and information center, helping to promote the migration to a digital information center, and addressed accessibility issues and space limitations.
