Government and Institutional clients are increasingly retaining our professional construction management services in concert with the services of their design professional. This service provides an objective checks and balances to these design activities. In our role as an Agent for our Owner clients, usually under a lump sum fee arrangement, Quandel provides overall project management, professional opinion and direction for all budgeting, value engineering, scheduling, bidding, cost control, construction, building commissioning and transition issues. This method of project delivery provides an attractive option for governmental and institutional projects since we represent the Owner as their Agent in relation to the contracts they hold with the individual publicly bid trade contractors. Early in the design process, we plan for construction, phasing and renovations and carefully prepare a plan to control and administer the trade contracts required for construction. Our Agency contractual relationship provides much higher value for government and institutional projects since it allows them to be better controlled than the normal less predictable public bid market challenges.
